Your Plans Won’t Always Work Out Its Time You Accept And Move On
No matter how well we set up our plans, the universe has its ways of turning things around. Most of the things we planned on doing do not unfold the way we want them to or anticipate.
By now, you have probably realized that no one goes untouched by momentary bumps in the road or unexpected stops along the way. Some of these bumps were self-inflicted while others we just the luck of the draw.
When you think about it, everything we do can be viewed either in a positive or negative light.
I’ve learned that wallowing in self-pity and sadness will never get you anywhere. Bemoaning won’t get you anywhere. It will just get you stuck.
How often do we choose to stay in one place because of our fear of the unknown?
Whenever something unexpected comes up, I can either stay aggravated and get a headache or just chill and accept that this is the way I’m getting through my commute now.
Embrace the detours.
The path to what we want to achieve, regardless of what it is, (career, relationships, etc.) is never linear. Make a decision to go through the detours and to revisit why you started this journey in the first place.
Remind yourself that there is no shame in taking time to work through your transition. It’s a constant process that involves building your capacities and gradually taking on more challenging issues. Rolling with what comes at you will always be the best approach.
Go with the flow.
Oftentimes, we find ourselves drifting to places we have never been before. Leaving the original path will not be easy, but these risks will offer an invaluable life experience. We’ve got to let go of what we’ve planned in order to gain something better.
Remind yourself that it is okay to get lost once in a while. Time and time again, you’ll learn that there is a fine sense of adventure in setting your foot on something unfamiliar. Time and time again, you’ll learn that there is more than one way to get anywhere.
Whatever it is, eventually, you’ll get there.
