In what could be described at the most historic night for English Premier League reigning champions Leicester City, the Foxes defeated Spanish side Sevilla 2-0 to reach the UEFA Champions League quarter-final in an unbelievable manner.

Leicester who had lost the first leg 2 – 1 in Spain, started the second leg in full turbo and won the tie 2 – 0 at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday, March 14.
Team captain Wes Morgan opened the scoring in the 27th minute when he bundled home from a set piece on the historic night.
The visitors were further punished when Marc Albrighton who was left unmarked in the box slotted home the ball in a spectacular fashion in the 54th minute.
Sevilla then began to search for the crucial goal to force the tie into extra-time, and after much pressure they were deservedly rewarded with a penalty kick ten minutes from time.

Poor strike by Steven Nzonzi was blocked by goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and every other efforts by the Spaniards were contained. Leicester won the tie 3-2 on aggregates and are now through to the quarter-final.

In the second game of the night, Juventus who has won the first-leg against FC Porto 2-0 in Portugal, wrapped things up in Turin with a lone goal scored by Paulo Dybala.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Leicester City are all through to the quarterfinals.

Atletico Madrid won defeated Bayer Leverkusen 4 – 2 away from home in the first leg will hope to seal it in the second leg at home with at least a draw in order to proceed to join the quarter finalists, while Manchester City and Monaco will slug-it-out for the last spot.
